Turkish Citizenship There’s more than one route to Turkish citizenship: exceptional acquisition through investment, citizenship by marriage, or — for those who’ve previously renounced citizenship — the Blue Card. Residence and Work Permit The permit a foreign national needs to stay in Turkey depends on why they’re here. Company Formation Setting up a company in Turkey as a foreign national follows largely the same rules as for a Turkish citizen — the law on foreign direct investment treats both equally. Real Estate and Title Deed Transactions Since 2012, foreign nationals no longer need to show that their home country grants Turkish citizens the same right before buying property in Turkey — the reciprocity requirement was removed. Investment Consultancy What we mean by investment advisory here is legal, financial, and administrative support for foreign investors setting up a business, building a facility, starting production, or acquiring a company in Turkey — not licensed advisory on capital markets instruments.
